A Memory Bead, at For Heaven Sake, is a bead that is handcrafted by us using a process of a color binding agent along with your dried flowers saved from a funeral, wedding, or any meaningful occasion. The petal pieces are kneaded into the clay until the petals are embedded throughout. Every Memory Bead is hand rolled; one bead at a time, custom made just for you and designed to commemorate a loved one or special celebration.

Bead colors are customizable with many colors to choose from.  Some people like to match the color of their petals, while others like to choose a neutral or contrasting color for the petals to be seen well.  *We always recommend a white or very light based clay for your petals to be seen the best. You can choose a Solid Color Style Bead selecting 1 clay color or a Multi-Color Style Bead giving the bead a marbleized effect. With this Style you have a choice of 2 colors, your main color and accent color.  There is a small additional fee for marbleized beads as the work involved is more intricate. Take a look through our gallery to see some of the different colors we have handcrafted. *There may be slight variations in color between each bead. These variations are natural and add to the unique beauty of your keepsake.

Your flowers will be embedded within every memory bead we make, however, the visibility of your petals will vary depending upon the bead color you choose.

We do not accept fresh flowers by mail. Flowers must be 100% dry prior to shipping. If they are not 100% dry you will run the risk of them molding. Flowers that contain mold cannot be used. If you live locally and wish to drop off your fresh flowers we can preserve them for you at an additional charge. Please email us to make those arrangements. 

Flowers can be newly dried, or many years old. As long as they are dry and free of mold they can be used to create beautiful heirloom treasures. 

We can use all flower types to make memory beads. They do not need to be just rose petals. The green leaves from your petals can be used as well. They look beautiful when combined with your other petals. Your flowers can be in one piece or crushed, freshly dried, as well as dried petals that you have had for many years.  

Flowers shrink in the drying process and can darken in color. Red roses dry to a dark Burgundy color. Pink Roses can sometimes dry to a more purple color. White roses often dry to a yellow or tannish color.  

Yes. Please place them in separate bags by color unless you want to mix them all together for a combination of color.  

It only takes a small amount of flowers to create many items. Out of one large rose, or 2-3 smaller flowers, we can produce up to 50-60 memory beads. For your convenience, at the end of each product description, we have listed the amount of petals needed for that item. 

Remaining flower petals, if any, from your initial order, are stored safely with your name, date, and invoice number and saved by us at FHS for ONE year. This expedites the process if you wish to order any additional items in the future.  

You can email us at info@forheavensake.shop with the items you wish to order. We will get back to you to let you know if you have any remaining petals on file, and if so, if you have enough to complete the items you wish to purchase. 

We would be happy to work with you to bring your custom vision to life when possible.  

Our process is labor intensive. Each memory bead is handmade before it is crafted into your custom piece. For this reason we are unable to offer discounts. 

The best way is to measure a piece of jewelry you already have and send us that measurement or you can measure your wrist and add 1/2" - 1". 

We recommend caring for your pieces in the same way you would care for any precious jewelry. Do not expose them to any harsh chemicals, as this may cause irreparable damage. 

We will send you an email or text when your flowers arrive to us and also when your order is completed and has shipped. 

On average it takes approximately 4-6 weeks from the time we receive your petals. This is an estimate as other factors may affect our timeline such as the amount of orders we have outstanding prior to receiving yours, if an order contains a large quantity of items, or the time of year relating to busy holiday seasons. We do our best to get your items to you as soon as possible. Please contact us if you need a more specific timeline.  

FHS will have your completed order delivered to you by USPS Mail.  It will include insurance and a USPS tracking service. 

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, Personal Checks and Money Orders.

If a Personal Check is returned for Non-Sufficient Funds the customer will be liable for any Bank fees that were charged to FHS. Payment for those fees will need to be made to us prior to FHS beginning work on your order.
