For Heaven Sake is first the story of three faith-filled friends who were brought even closer after each one experienced a devastating loss: one a husband, the second a mother, and the third a dear friend. During this time of loss, the three worked together to make prayer chaplets, rosary beads, little angels and other keepsakes to give as gifts to family and friends. What made those gifts special were the memorial beads that formed them. Each bead was hand-made using a mixture of clay and dried flowers from the funeral of their loved ones. The friends discovered that their hand-made gifts spoke to the hearts of those to whom they were given. The gifts provided tangible comfort, and helped each recipient feel a special connection to their loved one. They felt like they were receiving a little Hug from Heaven!
Initially, the focus of the memory beads was on those who were experiencing the loss of a loved one. Soon after, the friends realized that memorial beads could and should be created to preserve the memories of wonderful occasions as well.
We are those three friends, and For Heaven Sake was imagined and developed when we realized that we could create a business and make prayerful and treasured keepsakes for others by using their own flowers to make memorial beads. For Heaven Sake is truly much more than a business to us: it is a prayerful ministry.
We believe in the power of prayer and consider it a privilege to pray for the souls of the departed, and for the loved ones suffering with loss. We also celebrate and lift up our prayers for those newly married, or married many years, for the newborn being baptized, and for every celebration that is accompanied by the beauty of flowers.
Whatever the occasion, your flowers have a meaningful story behind them. A story filled with memories.
